project excel accreditation
Vincennes University’s Project EXCEL Dual Credit Program has been accredited by the National Alliance of Concurrent Enrollment Partnerships (NACEP) since October 2005. Project EXCEL courses are available to eligible high school students, at participating partner high schools and career centers throughout Indiana. Students may earn high school and college credit, concurrently, upon successful completion of the VU course work.
NACEP standards require that concurrent enrollment/dual credit courses utilize the same course syllabus, textbooks, grading standards, laboratory equipment, assignments, and evaluation/assessment measures as the courses taught on the college campus. Instructors who teach concurrent enrollment/dual credit courses must also meet the same faculty credentialing standards that are established for adjunct faculty status at the offering institution. Extensive research and documentation was completed, compiled, and submitted to validate that Project EXCEL met the various criteria established for accreditation.
