Academic Skills Center

The Academic Skills Center provides support for English and writing courses, along with a wide range of other subjects at Vincennes University. Beginning the second week of classes, we offer free one-on-one tutoring to help you build confidence, strengthen your skills, and succeed in your coursework. Services are available to all Vincennes University students.

Tutoring sessions are available by appointment. To schedule an in-person or Zoom session, call or email us using the contact information below. Limited Zoom tutoring may be available depending on tutor availability.

In addition to tutoring, the center offers a variety of resources to support your academic needs, including computers, printing, scanning, humanities textbooks, and calculators. Students can also take advantage of our quiet study rooms with Zoom capabilities, making it easy to attend virtual classes or focus without distractions. Need to complete an exam? The Academic Skills Center also provides a convenient, proctored environment for humanities course testing.

The Knowledge Market

The Knowledge Market offers support for speech preparation, presentations, and critical thinking assignments, helping students build confidence and communicate effectively. Beginning the second week of classes, our peer tutors provide free one-on-one assistance, and can also support additional subjects based on their areas of expertise. Services are available to all Vincennes University students.

In addition to tutoring, the Knowledge Market provides a collaborative and technology-enhanced learning environment. Students have access to computers, quiet study rooms with large shared screens, smart classroom technology, and dry-erase walls—ideal for practicing presentations and working through ideas. The center also offers free 3D printing services for student projects.

SEM Learning Lab

The SEM (Science, Engineering, Mathematics) Learning Lab provides support for a wide range of science, engineering, and math courses at Vincennes University. Beginning the first week of classes, we offer free tutoring from both peer and professional tutors to help you strengthen your understanding and succeed in your coursework. Services are available to all Vincennes University students.

Tutoring is available on a walk-in basis, with support offered in one-on-one and small group sessions. Limited Zoom tutoring may be available depending on tutor availability.

In addition to tutoring, the lab offers a variety of resources to support your academic needs, including computers, printing, SEM textbooks, calculators, models, and lab kits. Select computers are equipped with specialized software such as Mathlab and ArcGIS. The SEM Learning Lab also provides a quiet testing room for students needing to complete exams for SEM courses.
