VINCENNES, Ind. - The Daviess Community Hospital Foundation has donated an Automated
Electronic Defibrillator to Vincennes University.
The portable device aids someone who is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest by transmitting
a shock to return the person’s heart to a regular rhythm. The AED will benefit student
athletes and spectators at VU sporting events. It will help VU athletic trainer Hali
Sindlinger provide medical assistance in the case of an emergency.
Angie Steiner, director of the DCH Foundation, presented the AED to VU Athletic Director
Harry Meeks and Sindlinger during halftime of the men’s basketball game on Dec. 9.
