What can I expect during my time at VU?

  • Students in the Liberal Arts A.S. program at Vincennes University can expect a broad-based curriculum covering general education requirements.
  • The curriculum includes:
    • Required courses in art or music, history, philosophy, foreign language or electives, and laboratory science.
    • University Core Curriculum requirements, including English composition, college algebra, speech, laboratory science, social science, and humanities.
    • There are also Concentrations in Anthropology, Social Science, Economics, Political Science, and Public Administration with additional choices between certain courses, such as Art Appreciation or Music Appreciation, and Survey of European History or American History.

What can I do with this degree?

This two-year program leads to an Associate of Science degree and is offered at the Jasper Campus. The program is designed to prepare students for transfer to a four-year institution to pursue a bachelor's degree.
