What can I expect during my time at VU?

  • Students can expect a broad-based curriculum that fulfills the general education requirements for many majors at four-year colleges and universities.
  • The Liberal Arts A.A. is a two-year program resulting in an Associate of Arts degree.
  • Students have some choices within the required courses. For example:
    • They can choose to take Art Appreciation or Music Appreciation.
    • They can also choose between Survey of European History I and American History I, English, History, Mathematics, Foreign Language, Laboratory Science, Social Science, Humanities, and Philosophy.
  • The program includes a recommended sequence of courses spanning four semesters.
