- A broadcast capstone practicum will allow you to apply learned skills in a professional environment.

What can I do with this degree?
Graduates of the A.S.C.T. program will be prepared for entry-level positions in broadcast journalism, including news writing and producing for on-air and digital media. Among many others, some of the more common careers in this field include:
- Broadcast Journalist—Attend press conferences, rank news stories, and ask questions to create news stories.
- Reporter—Gather information, facts, and statistics to report on news stories.
- News anchor or On-air talent—Present stories live; serve as the face of a program.
- News Editor—Compose the written elements of a broadcast to sustain the audience’s attention.
- News Producer—Collaborate with the director to select content for broadcast, design shows, and set filming schedules.
- Audio & Video Editor—Prepare clips for public consumption in post-production.
