Teaching & Work Experience
Teaches Physical Therapist Assisting I and II, and Pathophysiology
Professor Scott considers teaching in both the classroom and lab as an interactive
experience. He sees his position as an educator as one of facilitation and encouragement
in learning and applying concepts and skills. He finds great joy in watching students'
progress in their knowledge and abilities along their journey to becoming Physical
Therapist Assistants.
Work experience as a PTA since 2002 in inpatient, inpatient rehab, outpatient and
aquatic settings. He has taught within the PTA program since 2020.
According to Professor Scott, the most rewarding part of working as a PTA is helping
others regain their physical function as well as improving the overall quality of
life for patients and their families.
